I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the Elliott Bay Lake City brewery.

Appearance: dark amber-brown hue with a dash of haze. Not midnight dark like a schwarzbier, but nice.

Smell: sweet with a lot of bready character, along with a little molasses / brown sugar character. A cromulent cold-weather kinda profile.

Taste: nutty, caramelly, and with a little bit of toffee character. It’s quite bready as well; definitely a hearty winter beverage.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a nice creaminess. I like it!

Overall: a nice winter lager. Perhaps a bit further along the bready/sweet spectrum than I prefer, but nice nonetheless.
