Millstream The Empire Stouts Back, unknown ABV or IBU. Pours black with a slight tan head. Nose is bourbon and coffee, taste follows with very slight bitterness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent. This was a one-off where a local store (Empire) sent an empty Woodford Reserve barrel to Millstream, where they aged stout in it. I suspect the base beer is their Back Road Oatmeal Stout which I previously reviewed, and it had very little flavor. Too bad they didn't base it on their wonderful Raspberry Latte Stout.
