Tried to have this at the Sonora Brew House this past Friday Night but they were out. However I found Dred (Short for Double Red) at Papago BC this past Sunday.
This dark amber was served with a nice head. It had a very fruity aroma to it. The taste was very good, a rather unique blend of sweet malts with a high amount of hops. The finish at first was to overwhelming for my palate but after several sips I grew quite fond of it. The mouthfeel was quite interesting, an array of sweetness, hoppiness, and the smoothness from the cask-very unique. The overall drinkability was good but because of the high ABV one can only have a couple. I would definitely try this again if available!
