Growing only in the wild, the Brazil nut tree (Bertholletia excelsa) is the lord of the Amazon forest, towering above most other trees. A massive amount of sustainably harvested nuts are roasted by hand and added to this beer, a recipe originally brought to us by our friend, homebrewer Ricardo Rosa. Flavor is very rich, creamy, roasty, and well, nutty. We hope you enjoy this taste of wild Brazil.

600ml brown bottle. Stamp on label is '74 FAHBD'.
Ruby brown colored body. Thin off white head with the pour, and this dissipates rather quickly, leaving islands and a bubbly ring. Leaves behind a few scattered small lacing spots.
Aroma of roasted malts, with a nutty component.
Taste is more expressive than the nose, with a sweet malty base and the addition of Brazil nuts. Flavors are nutty, caramel, brown sugar, and the hint of cocoa. Stays sweet and malty in the aftertaste.
Slightly more than medium mouthfeel. Creamy and smooth texture. Unexpectedly sweet, with very little bitterness, but the higher ABV% does sting a bit through all that sweetness. Okay carbonation.
Similar to drinking liquified malted milk balls with a nutty bit added. Unbalanced overall.

Reddish brown pour complete with a tan head. Smell has the nuts, toast, and malt right away, weird brown sugar twinge in the middle and finishing caramel and floral hops. Taste is even sweeter, almost with a molasses influence, throws off the balance, malt work is weak. Which brings me to the feel that cloys a bit but otherwise is all malt, no nutty textures from adjuncts. Interesting to have a beer from brazil though

Bottled, no clear date but ridiculous reading coding.
Pours a clear mahogany, sufficient foam to make it look good. Some slow oozing when I popped the cap.
Smells sweet, nutty, sweet from a milk chocolate like aroma, definitely some oxidation going on so could be a bit long in the tooth. Not off putting level.
Caramel malt, nutty taste. Again, some oxidation notes but in an aged English Old Ale kind of way which I can easily deal with. Mild milk chocolate adding to the caramel.
Medium body with mildish carbonation.
Nice malt "bomb ".

Deep amber color with about a finger of foamy fizzy slightly off-white. Aroma is light but has some malt and an unpleasant metallic smell. Taste is sweet with some malt, nutty, a good presence of the 8.0% abv and a touch again of that metallic presence. Finish is dry and slightly sweet but there is still a bit of aftertaste like a dirty penny, not strong but lingering in the background

Pours a hazy light brown color with a soapy tan head.
The aroma is of a buttery caramel. Light toast with subtle metallic notes.
The taste is of toffee and caramel, buttery. Toasted brown bread. Hints of metal, a bit of nuttiness.
The feel is light and fizzy. Sweet on the palate. A bit sticky in the finish.
More of an English style brown ale. Too buttery for my liking but it has a range of flavors.

Had this one on draft.
Light brown hue.
Minimal khaki head; minimal lace.
Banana bread nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Banana & cream soda; tastes Belgian. Easy to drink if unexpected for the style.
