Light yellow almost lagerish pilsner in appearance.
Loose but full almost pure white head, ubiquitous beading which goes the distance. Nice nose akin to a sort of dilute Duvel.
Fizzy to carbonic on the immediate palate but this fairly quickly blows off leaving it to be quite the quencher. A lovely firm but not aggressive taste with a well matched hop bitterness at the end.
Very nice and well made. Might have done with some individuality but this has bags of potential.

Poured from a 500mL bottle into a 25cL clear plastic cup. Best before December 2011.
A: Cloudy and pale yellow, with some small bubbles. Little head except for clumps of white around the edge.
S: Lagery, but uncharacteristically deep. Buttery. Crisp. Vague hops and some skunkiness.
T: Not great initially -- light, wishy-washy, and unfocused. Later, more robust vegetal flavours unfold, complemented by whiffs of smoke and a slight tart fruitiness. Good beer.
M: Good, solid, pleasingly carbonated. Slightly drying.
O: I like it! Probably my favourite beer from Islay Ale Co. (but why aren't you drying Islay malts?).

Purchased from a package shop about 1/2 km east of the Taipei 101 tower. This is a nicely done summer beer with a little wheat and an easy ABV. Such a good lawnmower beer you're likely to miss cutting a few strips of lawn as you close your eyes and enjoy.
A light clear golden yellow with an energetic white head (thanks, wheat) that fades to a persistent ring that leaves lacing behind it like a stripper. Nice hoppy aroma with a citrus kick to it that doesn't leave much space for the mal to get a word in edgewise until you take a sip. Then a nicely balanced malt pils-type malt body gets on even terms with the hops, providing a very balanced an pleasant beer that can be consumed quickly but rewards a slower pace. If this ain't a classic session beer, I don't know what is.

A - Opaque yellow body with an slight tint of orange
S - Floral aroma with hints of slighlty sweet grapefruit and honey.
T - Soft, dry, yeasty, mild peetyness.
M - Mildly carbonated. Medium bodied.
D - This is a very nice ale, light, but tastey.
From the Brewer's site:
Saligo Ale is a drink for the summer. Pale, lager and wheat malts produce a golden coloured beer, reminiscent of sandy beaches and sunshine. While Golding hops give their rounded bitterness, adding Bramling Cross hops as both a flavour and aroma hop give a refreshing and citrusy, lemon and grapefruit nose and taste.
