Brewed with bowmore malt and aged in selected sherry casks.
Light gold colour and with great lacing and white film.
Smell is lemon yeast, apple, some peat smoke, barley malt.
Taste is creamy and malty complex taste, raisin, with a smooth caramel finish, much less peat presence and nondescrispt malty sweet body than the bourbon cask. Seems reminiscent of the malty wort fermenting with the malty yeastiness along with a sort of dry dates character from the sherry casks.
Tremendously interesting beers, both editions. Subtle differences highlight the impact of the casks, but both are very good high quality beers.
