Orange & gold, cloudy color...average lacing left behind and not much head after the first 30 seconds after the pour.
Big time caramel (off-flavors) and buttery malts. No hop character present. Mouthfeel is very rough for an APA..it was only my 2nd beer of the night, and I was having a tough time putting my entire 22oz down.. I can put back a bomber of Yeti Imperial Stout in less time than I can drink one of these... too harsh.
I really wanted to like this beer..but it just wasn't going to happen. I thought pale ales were supposed to be easy to drink? Get some new beer recipes, or next time I'm at Beck's, I'm going with a SA Boston Lager.

Decent APA pour--light gold, a little cloudy. No head at all. They don't believe in heads at this establishment.
Light hop scent is overcome by...take a guess... DIACTYL! Jesus what is with this place?
The diactyl kind of/sort of works in the flavor. Butter is followed by soapy hops and the beer finishes on a totally decent note of caramel. Complex, but most of that complexity is horrible.
This beer narrowly avoids being awful. Between this and the Mexican lager I was reminded why I never visit this place despite it being a couple miles away from where I live. I wish I could give big marks to my home Brewpub...but I just can't. This beer sucks.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
