The brewpub is part of a fairly small modern shopping center a bit northeast of the center but easily accessible by public transportation. There are entrances on two opposite walls, one from the street and one from the mall. Big plate glass windows dominate three walls, while the bar stands as a rectangle in the middle, surrounded on three sides by a total of 15 stools. The brewkettles are in the corner to the left as you enter from the street, while the kitchen is in the corner to the right as you enter from the mall. The off-white plaster ceiling supports lots of fans and stark copper hanging lamps. A mural covers half of one wall with a bar scene next to an Italian village motif. The furniture is light brown wood, offering enough seating for about 100 guests, including a few tables in the hall of the mall. The floors are made of darkish wood planks, while a couple of plaster columns are spotted around the dining area. Oldish pop music from the radio is on the system. The place was 2/3s full at noon on a Thursday, but several tables held non-beer drinkers - there for the food, I guess. The initial service was too quick, as he wanted my order before I'd even sat down, much less looked at the menu. After that, I couldn't get him to come back. He commited too cardinal sins: 1) my glass stood empty for over five minutes, and 2) he brought me the wrong kind of coffee at the end (a HUGE faux pas in Vienna). The menu was classic Austrian, perhaps a bit higher than average but not outrageous, and what I had was quite good.

Only two taps, plus three bottles. When I was there, they offered a Helles and a Schnitt (which really was just a Märzen). The beers were in good condition, served at the right temperature in appropriate logo glassware on top of nice logo coasters. Both were solid products, but I would have appreciated a bit more variety. I got no warm and fuzzies here, but the place is worth a visit.
