Having this on-tap at Carey’s Brewhouse on my last night of the vacation I am in with my wife in Corning, NY. Served in a standard pint glass, this beer draws a very dark brown, almost black color with a nice tan head that’s about an inch thick when first drawn and served. Settles eventually to a thickneing surrounding the inside of the glass, along with some cluster swirls of foam on the surface and pretty good lacing. Aromas of roasted, biscuity, caramel malt sweetness along with definite cocoa and some earthy, floral hops. The taste is pretty much the same, with toasted caramel and biscuity malt sweetness that gives way to cocoa sweetness, a hint of black coffee, and some earthy hop bitterness to balance everything out. Very nice flavor profile. Has a crisp, also smooth and slightly creamy, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a slightly sweet aftertaste. A very god beer here overall.

Chocolate came through nicely. Nice body. Best one there but I wouldn't get it again.
