Had a pint of the Salvador Dali Oatmeal-Coffee Stout from Rooster Fish Brewing at J. Ryan's Pub in Syracuse, NY.
The name on the beer list gave me the impression that it would be a traditional oatmeal stout with some coffee. However, once it was served to me, the beer looked hazelnut colored and was clear. I could see straight through the glass which was unexpected from an oatmeal stout. One finger cola-like head that fizzed away pretty quickly.
Aroma is sweet with hints of rolled oats and caramel malts. Didn't notice any coffee in the nose.
Taste was similar to the aroma, sweet all the way from the front to the finish with a gentle lingering bitterness in the after-taste. Thin, watery mouthfeel made it feel like a cola than a stout. Good drinkability but came nowhere close to what a stout should be. Not sure I will try this stout again.
