10/08/05- Purchased at Bottleworks in Seattle, WA.
Presentation- 12oz bottle with no dating. Poured into my Mad River pint glass.
Appearance- Fairly cloudy golden-orange pour. Bits and pieces of sediment floating to and fro. 1/2 inch white head which part of remains throughout. Better than average lacing.
Smell- Light toasted malt background with some fruity and sugary hops.
Taste- Candied fruit like hops flavor along with a pretty hefty hit of bitterness. Decent enough malt flavor to make it somewhat balanced.
Mouthfeel- Average carbonation with a bitter backlash on your tongue and in your throat.
Drinkability- Hop head IPA here. Not bad at all. Definitely worth trying at least once if you can find it.
