Aroma: Fruity esters reminiscent of fresh melon, pears, lemon zest, and a touch of warming alcohol. Some light peppery spiciness that I assume is from the yeast character. Very clean smell.
Appearance: Deep brilliant gold with a sudsy white head. Wonderful sticky classic Belgian lace.
Flavor: More melon, ripe pear, and a touch of spicy cloves. Also, more characteristic fruity Belgian yeast character.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with medium carbonation. A light, drying, alcohol finish. Very crisp and refreshing.
Overall impression: A light, fruity, crisp, and refreshing beer that packs a punch. I'm not sure where the hops fit in but it's a wonderful Strong Golden Ale. Recommended for sure.
