on tap poured into a pilsner glass at the brewpub in Cleveland. pours a rich golden straw color with a half finger of tight white head that leaves decent lacings.

aroma is light, with notes of pale malts and a bit of honey. not much else for the nose except for a subtle sweetness.

taste is of pale malts and a bit of honey, much like the aroma, along with a bit of drying hops upon finishing. the brew works well for what it is, and leaves a pleasant aftertaste of gently drying hops and pale malts.

mouthfeel is light bodied with a pleasant malt and hop quality and a smooth finish. a solid pils.

drinkability is good. very drinkable pils with a fresh character and a curious richness upon finishing.

Bohemian Pilsner. Poured from tap at the Brewery about an hour ago into a clean, clear glass.

A Basic clear yellow with minimal head. Sort of forgettable looking.

S Not much smell at all really. Maybe some distant barley.

T Basic Pilsner taste. IMO this beer takes no chances and it is reflected in the taste. It certainly is a Pilsner but that is all that it is.

M Moderate mouthfeel. This pilsner is like some water with a bit of barley brewed into it.

D Good for what it is but I am bored by this pilsner.

Notes: Admittedly Pilsner is not my favorite style but Prima Pils by Victory is interesting, challenging, inviting. This is forgettable.

This one was served in a large mug. The beer is golden with a dense white head. The aroma is of flowers and grains.

The taste is slightly bitter with white pepper. Nice grains in the background. It has some more floral notes late.

The mouth is crisp and balanced. Easy drinker, killer crossover beer.

I see it is an award winner at the GABF in 2001.

(Served in a strange)

A- This beer has a crystal clear golden yellow body with a thin white head fading to a thin ring after a few sips. There is a very gentle carbonation of tiny bubbles slowly gliding to the surface.

S- This beer doesn't have much of an initial taste until you get a gentle Noble hop flavor. After a few more sips the taste of lightly sweet fresh pale malt, field corn come through with a hint of graham in the background. The soft notes of pine come out of the hops as it warms and there is a dry light sulfury note in the clean finish. The pine hint in the hops has something similar to a mint flavor but it is not really mint.

T- This beer has a light mouthfeel with a tight clean finish.

M- This beer is very smooth but still has some complexity and interest, especially for such a light beer. The hops are new and fresh with and they are complimented by some depth in the malt bill.

(part of a 6oz sampler)

This was the biggest surprise as far as enjoyment of all the beers I sampled at CCH in that I am not a big pilsner fan. Poured a classic pale, slightly cloudy golden hue with a tight 1/4" head of white foam that faded ever so slowly and laced mildly.

Nose is surprising - light, but noticiable aromas of bread, soft, subtle...very enjoyable.

This is interesting. Its even, very crisp, with detectable bread & yeast on the tongue. It pauses on the pallete, then a very crisp, mild bite on the swallow.

I really enjoyed this. It was my 2nd favorite beer of the sampler, and one of the best pilsners I have tried. I would recommend this to anyone, especially a pilsner fan.

Very mellow with little flavor. There was a hint of Saaz/hops and rice to it. My least favorite ChopHouse offering. Apparently this beer won a Gold at the 2001 GABF but I just don't see it.
