Head is almost non existent, quickly dissipates to nothing. Thin rim around the glass which stays till the end.
Very light aroma, I can make out caramel that is about it.
Taste is of burnt orange liquer, think cointreau, grand marnier. This then develops to more fortified wine tastes, at first bitter veremouth, some dry sherry. A touch of sweet port at the end. Think of all the bad bits of regional fortified wines lumped in to one this is it.
If it was reduced down, this would make a great free sweet after dinner shot.
Not a great beer. Although the rest of this range that I have tried is great.
