On cask Betjeman Arms, St Pancras Station, London as Betjeman Ale.
Hazy blonde with creamy white froth that sheets. Mild lemon oil and baguette crust nose.
Saltines and lemonade.
Sharp Starburst finish and dry linger. Soft, light, crisp but watery.
Competent but undistinguished blonde boosted +.5% overall by very low ABV. Gets the hops across.
I guess Coors hasn’t quite ruined Sharps just yet.

Beer with an intense copper color, with white foam not particularly compact, but fluffy.
In the smell you can feel immediately the mild malt which is it supported by a good hop that reminds a white grapes, a little fruity and a bit of zest citric.
Even in the mouth hits the malt and cookie (not so softy). Only in a second moment you feel the hops that balances the whole (notes of white peach and a little citric acid). Even in the aftertaste is still noticeable the sweet of malt and a biscuit, and hops in the second round.
Perhaps a little monotonous, but still enjoyable, even if the sweetness is likely to be excessive.

Had this out of a gravity fed cask at the Bree Louise near Euston Station. Bright orange colour with a lacy head. Beautiful spicy citrus hop flavour and aroma. Hops are ever present without being too dominating. Slightly dry finish. Dangerously drinkable bitter that I wish I could have taken home with me.

Tasted this beer alongside Sharp's Doom Bar bitter at the Pakenham Arms pub on Calthorpe St., London.
A: dark orange hued, with great clarity, a nice thin foamy head leaves some uneven lacing later on; minimal carbonation.
S: this little brother of Doom Bar provides more excitement and a hoppier profile on aroma and palate: spicy hoppy theme buttressed by some light citrusy zest elements--light but pleasantly hoppy.
T: earthy hop flavour dominates the foretaste, gradually paving the way for a rounded and slightly spicy bitterness magnifying in the mouth, with a hint of grapefruit bits--sour, bitter, and juicy; long finish and clean on the palate, leading to a nice dryish mouthfeel in the end.
M&D: just like Doom Bar bitter this one is feather light in terms of body and even lighter in terms of overall flavour, but the depth given by the bitterness is considerable. A light bitter with a profile punching above its weight, that is. Recommended (on cask).
