This place is still rough around the edges. With some unfinished ductwork and pipework. There's a bar with about 12 stools and a scattering of tables.
Food is popcorn or nachos. (Popcorn's free, Nachos are $3.)
The beer selection was Stout, Bitter, and Miami Blonde.
Each style wasn't bad, but in my opinion, needed a little refinement. The Blonde was the best in its style, the bitter and stout were above average and enjoyable.
The atmosphere when I was there was noisy and slow. The TV was on too loudly with "Something About Mary" showing. The folks in the bar seemed like decent beer-loving folk, but it was hard to talk over the television.
I'm excited about this place because it's new and close to my niece's house. The beers were good and show signs of better things to come as the brewers get in a groove.
But I worry for its future. It has little or no publicity and the lack of food will hurt it in the long run, according to what I know of running a brewpub.
I don't know much of management or their plans, but hope they continue to improve. It could become a good thing.
