A solid oatmeal stout from the fine folks at FSB. This one was poured into the pint glass as dark as night with a minimal head. The aroma gave off hints of coffee and malt. The taste featured chocolate, coffee and molassess and begged for another sip. A finely crafted beer in a style that is fast becoming my favorite -- oatmeal stouts rock.

I knocked this down on smell because by the time I recieved it, it had already settled down. Outside of that this is superb stout. Probably the best I have had in the area. Definitely tasted chocolate and caramel right from the get go. Final taste of cofee really brought it home. It wasn't very bitter like some stouts can get. This one I could have had more than one if I wasn't there with the in-laws celebrating a Birthday! Nice job, FSB. I'll definitely be back.

I do believe this is my favorite beer from FSB to date. Very nice indeed!

Pours, of course, jet black with a light brown head that lacked retention receding into a thin crown after a few minutes. Nose is quite nice, roasty with some faint coffee notes. Taste is very well done, very nice balance and complextiy. Not over the top with the roast, just enough to make it's presence known but lots of coffee kick. You can definatly taste that it was brewed with more than one coffee type, there is a nice layering effect happening. Mouthfeel was medium for a stout which is actually nice for such a nice flavor profile, meaning I easily drank more than one without it becoming too much as is the case with many stouts of this type.

Reminds me of a lighter weight, more accessible and easier drinking Founder's Breakfast Stout, you can't help comparing the two honestly. This is a very well done brew and I'll definatly be back for some more.

Nice. A solid breakfast stout. Presented a black color with a dense head of tan foam. Heavy aroma of coffee, malt and unsweetened chocolate. Taste was very good; flavors of roasted malts, chocolate, touches of caramel and a vanilla blended well on the palate. Thick, dense mouthfeel. Very heavy. Even so, it's got a good drinkability about it. This is perhaps the prize jewel at FSB. Proc couldn't have said it better - oatmeal stouts rock. Recommended.
