Not the heartiest of the scotch ale style, but very drinkable. Dark red color and a nearly non-exsistant head presented little interest initially. Aromas of mild malts and caramel; still nothing out of the ordinary or exceptionally great. Taste was decent; caramel, malts, grain and a touch of bitterness from the hops. Mouthfeel was sharp and went down easy. A good level of drinkability, due to the lower ABV. Worth a try.

Very mild overall. Certainly a standard Scotch Ale with the sweet malt and characteristic flavor but quite light in comparison to classic examples.
Pours a bright jewel-like amber in color with plenty of deep red tones as well. Very clear with quite apparent carbonation. Served with no head whatsoever but left some lacing as it was consumed. Nose is very faint, slightly doughy, very fresh smelling but not a whole lot of aroma really. Taste is also quite mild, some carmelized sugars and slightly 'earthy' but overall just strikes me like a slightly different standard amber ale.
Quite fresh and sessionable but nothing big going on here.
