A solid session beer. Liked this. Pours out to a medium brown color with a smaller head of brownish white foam. Medium low level of carbonation, no lace. Aromas of fresh earth, grains and nuts. Nice. Taste is medium bodied and very easy on the palate; maltiness blends with subtle roasted nut flavors, and touches of grain and hops linger in the background. Nice. Mouthfeel had a nice touch of thickness to it, but not so much as to make one think this was a stout or porter. Good drinkability. This is another winner from FSB. Try it.

(Note: The brewer says in his description of this beer that it is modeled after English style brown ales, but also adds that there is a significant amount of wheat used which breaks from tradition, so I'll list it as an American Brown.)
Pours a porter-like deep brown in color with a creamy head that had good retention. Nose is slightly nutty with hints of chocolate. Very full and creamy mouthfeel for the style, this reminds me of something between a brown and a porter, I really like that actually. Taste is definitely nutty, with tinges of chocolate, but with a dunkel like wheat character to it, very interesting hybrid! I really like this one as a style bender and will thoroughly enjoy the growler of it I took home.
