I had the good fortune of being on hand the evening they tapped a cask of this Imperial IPA with added yarrow, which the master brewer explained is supposed to "intensify the effects of alcohol."
A-Drank from pint glass. Brew was an opaque amber with a light head and some tracing.
S-Floral hops, malt, citrus (lime dominates).
T-The yarrow rendered it slightly tannic at the first sip, but this resided into a veil of sweetness thereafter. I also picked up key-lime zest, general citrus, english hops, and a cleansing bitter aftertaste that balanced the sweetness.
M-Excellent moderate body with carbonation at moderate level that provided the perfect complement. Good balance. This was served rather chilled, and got better as the temperature rose.
D-Interesting and pretty good. I only had one because I had to drive, but I was craving a second.
