listed as an oatmeal wheat stout at the brewpub.
served in a pint glass.
a - color is a standard dark brown, nearly opaque, with a thin film of head. left a few spots of lace here and there.
s - clove with a little espresso. pretty weak nose overall.
t - spicy and roasty. clove, banana, espresso, maybe a hint of dark chocolate. no discernible hop character. the belgian yeast they used really dominates the flavor.
m - a little thin for a stout with more carbonation than i like in the style.
o - an odd take on the style for sure. worth a try, but i probably wouldn't return to it.
