Bonden (Svensk Folklig Ale), ABV: 3.5%.
330 ml bottle, 21.90 SEK at Hemköp.
A: Hazy yellow to golden liquid, and a tiny, white head that leaves a little ring on the surface.
S: A small, fruity and floral aroma on the nose, with notes of malt, sugarplums, apricots, green grapes, lemons, cress, and hints of honey and hard rye bread.
T: I get a fresh load of rye bread and cress, and notes of grass and yeast, mixed with sweet fruits, like plums, apricots, grapes and lemons. The bitterness is small to medium.
M: A small- to medium-sized body, and a somewhat edgy feel.
O: A different 'folköl' with decent taste - still the flavours are a little bit rough and earthy. It's rather light and easy to drink - but at this price level I had higher expectations.

The beer is hazy amber, has an off-white rather small head that leaves no lacing.
The smell is sweet and malty, brown bread, ripe fruit, pears and oranges.
Rather sweet start, brown bread, honey end lemon marmalade, some grapefruit peel bitterness.
Medium carbonation, small foamy bubbles, a medium body, a slightly dry finish.
Not bad at all at ABV 3.5 %, has some taste and body.

The smell is a bit bitter-hoppy with some notes of grass and hay. Some mild herbs and a touch of old bread. Some off bitter flavours in the background.
The colour is pale orange/gold. The liquid is somewhat hazy (chill haze?). The two finger head is off-white and airy; it sinks slowly leaving some thick lacing.
The taste is malty with a refreshing bitterness that got a peculiar taste that reminds me of wood-sap. Some sweet notes of bread and dough. There is an odd flavour of solvents and paint far away in the background. Body is low to medium. The aftertaste is a bit better with a slowly declining bitterness and some herbal hints. Honey in the finish.
The carbonation is light, the bubbles soft. The liquid is semi-smooth.
Brewing a bitter at 3.5% is not that easy. The flavours should be mellow and rounded but not chemical or heavy. This one got a few too many off flavours.
