The least exiting of the beers I had at Rocky River but it was to be expected really, poured a dull light golden with a thinner but well retained white head atop.Mild grainy aromas lightly toasted a hint of floral hop but not much, flavors are toasted with light citrus notes with a lingering herbal-like finish. Its delicate with decent flavors but not one to go for with so many other selections on hand.

On-tap at RRBC 3/11/07
A: Pours a golden color that is way too dark for the style. As with the rest of their beers, lots of sticky lacing on the glass.
S: A light, dull malt smell.
T: Light in taste with a malty flavor. Missing is the characteristic hops and yeast flavors that you find in most kolsches. Not offensive, but quite boring and off for the style.
M: Light, watery, and a bit chalky with moderate carbonation.
D: Not a horrible beer, but far from being a good one or from being close to style guidelines. Pass on this one.

Had this on-tap at the brewery:
This is a great beer to start the night off with. There is nothing big about it at all, but then again that is true to the kolsch style. I was a little suprised to see this on tap in November being that this is typically a warm weather beer. It was very refreshing and crisp and had just the right amount of bitterness to it. As long as they have this brew on-tap, I think I will always start off with it.

Quick Review:
Smell: White fruits
Taste: Slight notes of Pear, Bread and malt with a light hop finish.
Ap: Gold in color with almost no head and minimal lacing.
Notes: Nothing impressive but I could kick a few of these around before moving on to something better.

Nothing too big about this beer. This was a beer I had in the beginning of the night to open up more taste buds. However, this is almost identical to a miller or bud light. I was interested in it because there were some awards for it, I didn't think it deserved much credit; however, I am a pale ale drinker.

Had this at my first visit to the brewery. Light gold with a slight head. No lace to speak of.
Barely any smell but it could've been due to the location. I did however get a hint of wheat and bleached bread.
Crisp clean taste, very light but not very refreshing. I can't say I'd have it again. The wheat and malt were very transparent with virtually no hops save for the instance in the beginning,
Overall not bad but not a favorite.
