Pours a straight black with a faint lace pool. Huge deep roasted coffee notes and burnt malts in the nose. The taste is consistent with the its aroma with bold roasted coffee, smokey campfire, burnt malts, toasted cereals, bitter charcoal, cocoa powder, and dark caramel sweetness. Some fruit notes of raisons and prunes. The mouthfeel starts a watery but develops into some creamy coating. The finish leaves the mouth drier with some smokey roasted coffee notes coming through.
