Very attractive looking hazy light brown with some orange highlights and light tan head fading to a respectable foam layer. Good aromas of cinnamon, clove, and honey sweetness. Ginger bread is clearly the goal flavor in this beer. Nice malt strength and spices let wont let you forget its the holidays. Honey sweetness, bitter ginger flavor, faint citrus in the middle and bisquity at the end. Caramel malts mingle with softer ginger bread spices. The finish is nutty, sweetness more like burnt sugar, and cinnamon and ginger carrying over. Medium carbonation and mild hops keep the ginger bread spices alive on the palate. Descent mouthfeel with plenty of creamy coverage. Alcohol, husk, and phenols increase towards the end making this brew a surprisingly complex one. I recommend this for a middle afternoon treat or a late night warmer.
