I went to the Rocky River Brewing Co during a visit to Cleveland searching for Neptune's Nemesis. Instead, I ended leaving with a couple of growlers of St. Festivus Marzen/Oktoberfest. I'm not a huge fan of this particular genre of beer, but I really enjoyed this one.
Taste is very slightly sweet, appealingly malty, and well-balanced. I thought it was delicious, and although most of the beers I like have a very pronounced hoppiness, I found the malt character of this beer very pleasing.
Color is good, although maybe a bit dark/red for a beer of this style. Nonetheless, color and abundant tan head/lacing make the appearance of this beer very inviting. Smell is malty and appropriate for the style (as much as I can judge). Would definitely recommend.
