This beer now has a name Spring Fest Keller.
Completely transparent with loads of carbonation and a thick white head. Looks more like a light lager then a zwickel bier.
Faint aroma of grass, German, hops, and sweet yeast. Very light, even when warm.
Mild flavor. Sweet candy front, light malts, nice, light citrus in the finish but very little yeast character for the style.
Light body. Clean, crisp, and with a nice dry, bitter finish.
Very drinkable but not very zwickel like.

On tap at the Pizza Plant on Transit, poured from the tap a milky, hazy tea-like color with a tight formed well retained thin white head.Hoppy floral notes really show themselves along with real a toasted flair, very fresh smelling and inviting, big ciitric-like flavors layered overtop grainy malt, great use of hops here its floral in the nose and citrusy on the palate a mild toasty, grainy malt base holds up well and gives depth to the brew.Wow what a great beer to have after a long day in a kitchen refreshing as all get out, very well done.

On-tap @ Rocky River Brewing on March 17th, 2007, St. Patrick's Day. They didn't bother to put a fancy name on this beer, so they just called Zwickel Keller Bier. It has a Gravity of 1.053, a bittering of 50, and an alcohol percentage of 4.8%. It came to me in a standard American pint glass and at the right temperature too.
The beer was a bright pale straw yellow color with a beautiful 1 finger head of white foam. The head of foam didn't go anywhere, it lasted the entire drinking time. When the amount of the beer lowered, the head of foam left behind plenty of white sticky lace around the glass. Toward the bottom, it looked like a spider had just recently spun a web of lace inside the glass. It was lacking in the aroma department. I kept swirling it around to get the aroma to wake up, but it just wasn't happening. It was just light in dry citrus hops and a pinch of citrus fruits. Even when the beer warmed up, the aroma still didn't bother to wake up. The taste was dry, dry, dry, and did I mention dry? Once you get past the dryness, out comes the citrus hops and grapefruit. Take a ripe grapefruit, fill it with dry citrus hops, and take a bite out of it. If you do that, you will come close to what it tastes like. The mouthfeel was on the light side and even though it has a ABV of only 4.8%, this beer has a huge aftertaste of dry citrus hops. The dry citrus hops were so strong that you need half a glass of water to get rid of them off your tastebuds. Even though I've never had a Keller/Zwickel before, I think it made a nice introduction to the style. I was glad that I gave it a chance and if I looking for a light beer with a strong dry citrus hop punch to it, I will look no further than this fresh Rocky River Brewing beer.
