250 mL bottle. Murky brown bottle with no head. Smells of peaty smoke, leather, and damp sock. Tastes of briny and oily whiskey up front, smokey peat behind it. Earthy and woody back end. Damp sock flavor in the finish with a bit of alcohol. Medium heavy and slow to drink. Strongly influenced by the whiskey barrel, which is reminiscent of an Islay Scotch. It's more interesting than good, but definitely worth trying.

Pours a dark brown to black color with a fizzy, one finger broad beige head.
Smells of bakers chocolate, warm toffee and dried figs. Among this sweet foundation, black peppers and toasty malts build up a nice complexity, enhanced by matured, herbal hops.
Has a lower carbonated slick, fuller mouthfeel and a surprisingly hoppy backbone, representing a well balanced, unusual tasting barleywine.
Tastes of toffee, bakers chocolate, roasted malts and raisins among milk chocolate. The roastiness is very profound and interacts perfectly with a good amount of herbal hops, taming the toffee sweetness very effectivly. Turns a little sweeter during the finish, due to caramel, together with a smoky note among prevailing garden herbs and earth.
Very rustic and hop forward barleywine with just the right amount of sweetness. Establishes a perfect balance from the beginning, while producing a gentle depth of flavors.
