Bottle, at RBESG 2007 in Glasgow, Grand Tasting. Another beer I drank too warm. Golden colour. Very nice and complex hoppy aroma. Hoppy and alcoholic flavour.

On tap at Akkurat.

Pours a clear golden amber with soft head.

Smell is malty and sweet with some floral notes.

Taste is malty and a bit sweet with some toffee and a nice, moderate bitterness and a floral finish. Great balance.

Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a very nice traditional IPA, balanced and tasty.

Wow! What a beer!
Have been on "beer safari" in Sweden and Copenhagen and stopped at Bishop's Arms in Malmo while waiting for a train. (BA beer Champion) Bark had suggested that Bishop's Arms was a good place to have Narke on tap. Asked at bar and very nice (and very knowledgeable) young lady said normally yes, but nothing on today. Something in cellar, but no help with a train to cacth. So had another (very good) Swedish beer, only to have her come over and say she was switching over a keg so I could try the Narke Rainbow Warrior.
She tapped the keg and poured the beer perfectly into a BA's snifter. The beer just came to life in front of me. Rich orange with some light generated hints of sunset red. A full pillowy almost pilsner like head that created waves of foam clearing the glass by more than a finger...close to 3 in total. Rich full nose with hints of cotton candy, bubble gum and very light caramel...married to aromas of britiish hoppiness. IPA? The taste was just a killer combination of big orangy malts, cotton candy, maybe a little butterscotch with a pleasing but not heavy handed hops.Hops stood out more, and more American West Coast seemed going on now. Beer tasted more like an American Pale Ale. But mouth feel was full and creamy, rolling on the tongue...clinging and cloying. Wonderful. So much of this beer was like a very well crafted American Pale Ale, but looked and drank like a low ABV barleywine. Just can't seem to categorize. But don't care. This was just such a wonderful beer. Now I know why Bark said these guys are "special".

On tap at Borfets 2012.

Bright orange color. Minimal/whispy head.

Not that floral nose. Hops were kinda subduded in the aroma. Very sweet flavor. Almost candy like. Not to bitter but tons of hoppy flavor. Thick and smooth mouthfeel.

Pretty good beer overall. Good tick from a awesome brewery.

This beer was created by Närkes Kulturbryggeri and beer bar Akkurat to celebrate the Europride 2008 festival. It was served in a Delirium Noël glass: "The most queer glassware we could find".

The colour is gold-orange, the liquid is clear. Two finger white head, some lacing occurs.

The smell is mildly sour and fruity (fruit candy) with some spicy notes. Elegant.

The taste is hoppy with notes of fruit candy, some citric notes, a blend of British and American flavours. Esters... Some oranges in the aftertaste, as well as a long lasting bitter flavour.

The carbonation is mild yet fresh. The liquid is light.

A unusual beer full of deep flavours. Very well made!
