250ml capped bottle into a BBT snifter. 2019 vintage. Pours thick, rich. Pitch black. Creamy mocha head. Thick, oily legs. Nose is anise, prunes, liquorice, and roasted malt. But of smoke and raisin as well. Beer opens semi-sweet chocolate. Anise, raisin, plum. Roasted malt and liquorice in the middle. Bit of smoke and peat towards the finish. More dark fruit in the aftertaste. Amazing complexity. Body is full without being hot. Chewy without being boozy. Slick, smooth, velvety. Long, lingering, sticky aftertaste that lasts for days.
Narke always provides and experience. This one's no different. An amazing beer.

Pours jet black with low, tan head.
Smell is intense and roasted with notes of coffee, chocolate, oak, whisky, vanilla, tobacco and tar pastilles.
Taste is rich, intense and powerful. Huge notes of chocolate, coffee, licorice and bourbon set up a plethora of backing hints of tobacco, tar pastilles, oak, vanilla, whisky and both sweetness and bitterness. Absolute powerhouse.
Mouthfeel is thick, velvety and well carbonated.
Overall, an outstanding porter/stout, up there with the best of them.
