Copenhagen 4/12 2023. 33 cl bottle from Beershoppen webshop. Green label with a drawing of a white Rams head with various decorations.
Pours unclear amber with a mid-sized head. Stable. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with overripe and fermented fruit and sharp notes of grains and alcohol. Sweet pale malts, fermented plums, metallic alcohol and sour grains.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a boozy undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Appropriately boozy and malty Maibock who does not hide anything.
