May 2012: On tap at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival. Golden colour, low white head. Nice aroma of fruity hops, a faint hint of butterscotch (not disturbing). Lagerish mouthfeel. Refreshing hoppy flavour throughout, a firm bitterness in the finish. One of the better and most drinkable beers of the festival. I really liked this one.

On-draught into a mini-nonic glass @ a bar in Helsinki. Cost was 4.50 euro. Reviewed from notes taken Summer 2014.

HEAD: 1.5 finger wide head of off-white colour. Fluffy and frothy looking. Nice soft complexion. Smooth even consistency. Even lacing coats the sides of the glass as the head recedes. Retention is excellent - ~6+ minutes.

BODY: Clear translucent vibrant yellow colour with copper hues. Clean-looking.

Appears adequately carbonated. Not unique or special for the style, but I'm excited given the brewery.

AROMA: Pale malts, floral hops, evergreen, a kiss of pine, and tree-redolent needle-like notes. A pleasant aroma of average strength, with a hop profile that seems nice.

TASTE: There is some hop bitterness on the climax, but just enough to tease the drinker. Hop character is lovely: floral, pine needles, evergreen, lemongrass, some herbal character. Not real fruity.

Pale malts and crystal malts provide the malt backbone. Pretty well balanced. Average duration, depth, and intensity of flavour. Complex for a pale ale, definitely, but not too subtle.

TEXTURE: Aptly lightly coarse, coaxing out the nuances of the flavours. Wet, refreshing, well-carbonated. Light to medium-bodied. Complements the taste well.

OVERALL: Easy to drink. I'll have no trouble finishing the glass. But the pric e is awful (even by Finnish standards). It's a quality brew, bit it's far from world-class, and is hardly in league with the quality of Narke's imperial dark ales. I wouldn't get this again.

The beer is light amber, pale copper, a white compact head leaving good lacing.

The smell is very citric and forestry, pine and grass.

Starting sweet, loaf of bread character, then it is a citric explosion in your mouth, lime, lemon, grape, juice, peel and seeds!

Medium low carbonation, small bubbles, a medium body, rather refreshing feeling which ends in a long dry feeling.

This was a very citric beer, don't know why, but I did not expect it.

This beer was @ the Borefts festival in Bodegraven, Holland. Narke was there with some beers which were new to me, this was the first beer i drank on the festival.

Poured in the De Molen festival tastingglass, a good glass to taste beers, the beer looks very nice. Christoffer, one of the brewers, described it as a blond pale ale. Nice somewhat darker yellow fluid with a tiny head. Grassy smelle and taste. This beers has a bitter aftertaste, yet very drinkable. The beer had a bit of an edgy feel.
