Vintage 2005.
The colour is dark brown; the silent finger thick head is beige and compact.
The smell is quite mild with bitter notes of hops, some fruity notes of roasted malt and a touch of coffee.
A coffee-like flavour of roasted malt dominates the taste; there are also fruity notes of apricots and green bananas. The aftertaste is very creamy and mild (yet distinctive) with notes of chocolate toffee, sweetened coffee and some mild mustard? After a while, a mild note of exotic fruits (carambola) appears. Overall, the taste is balanced and un-bitter, just as an mild is supposed to be.
The carbonation is mild and delicate perfect for the style.
A happy surprise, this one. Probably the only dark mild produced in Sweden, and a great one indeed. Hurrah!
