Stopped in at the brew pub. Really dark brown body for a brown ale. Slight malt aroma. Mild bitter taste with a hint of sweet caramel.

Appearance: Pours a thin-looking brown body with a wispy, off-white head.
Smell: Sourish, nutty aroma with a small hint of chocolate.
Taste: Weak flavors of toasted nuts that grows more and more watery until the twangy, sourish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Lacks flavor, body, and depth. A very poor brown ale.

Clear, caramel brown color, able froth, creamy, long-ish lasting.
Aroma is sweet, malty, nuts and caramel. Spot on for a brown.
Mild entry on the palate, soft and sweetish, but rather insubstantial, all in all. Medium/ light body, thin mouthfeel, soft, chocolatey finish.
Drinks easy, if lighter in character, flavor than I like...a big relief that it didn't totally blow, after those last four.

Served on draft at Northwoods. Yep, a solid brown ale color. Roasty and caramelly in taste, with a good complement of American style hop flavor. A good beer, but not quite great. Goes well with the popcorn served there. Just be sure to try at on draft, not bottled.

Perfect brown color with no head. Great aroma. Brown sugar, molasses, caramel, honey and roast tones all hit the nose. Medium body. Little carbonation. Very smooth tasting brown ale. On the low side of hopping for Browns. Really nice maltiness to this one. I'm tasting a nice sweetness. Like carmelized sugar. Even though I tend to like hoppier browns and porters, I like this one quite a bit.
