I'm used to the German Oktoberfest beers so was a little surprised when the waitress brought out a fairly dark-looking beer. It looked more like a Marzen. While tasting maltier than the German style, I really enjoyed it and, if I wasn't driving, would have gladly had a second pint.

Thanks to Peter for the surprise growler!
A: amber color, clear, nice head when poured but dissipated
S: medium nose, malty, nutty
T: medium taste - grainy, slightly astringent from hops, good balance, almost has a rye taste to it
M: well-balanced
O: well-balanced and decent but just average, grainy undertones and notes of rye
