Tasted this today after visiting the filling of the keg directly from the fermentation/lagertank so naturtrueb. Taps all right( like I expierienced) and was an easy to handle beer but with nice head thats litle yellow but mostly white. Bronze to amber color with 6.0% make it more a belgium pale ale then a Koelsch as brewer/owner Gerard tells you it is. Good beer that's always suprising you! Know Gerard is varying in yeast aswell as hops regurlary what always makes it a suprise how it will taste this time. Never had a bad one though and visitid this brewery at least 10 times since it opened almost 3 years back in the old closed Brewery de Kroon witch belonged to Gerard's family for many generations. Nose was malty and hardly any esters noticable, Taste of the one I sampled today had a very bitter and was litle malty in taste. Good mouthfeel with the right amount of carbonisation, good and strong bitterness and that with creamynes.
But its like a said; Gerard always suprises you so next time it can well be quiet different. Worth trying and visiting!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
