12ozer bought as a single from Oliver's Beverage, Albany, NY.

Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a frothy 1 1/2" head over the clear dark copper brew. Head is staying put, with lots of sticky thick lacing. Aroma is bubblegum, fruit, pine, but with an alcohol burn that comes on late. Taste is moderate malt, ample pine hops character. Mouthfeel and drinkability are pretty good. Best from them I've had, and would revisit if the occasion arose.

Nice looking pour. 12oz bottle poured into a 16oz pint glass and the head came right to the top of the glass. Translucent amber color with a tan head. Nice lacing already as the head begins to fall before I've even touched the glass. Thin layer of the head stays all the way down as I drink it.

Smell is fresh pine and LOTS OF IT!!! Also some grapefruit. I'm not sure if the pine is gonna be too much once I taste this because I've never smelled an IPA quite like this.

This tastes pretty good at first with the piney hops and then some smooth malt flavor, but I'm tasting a long metalic finish and something like charcoal. I don't know if this is just a bad or old bottle or what. If I try another from the 6-pack and get something different I will edit this review. But the taste just goes to hell. It's like I'm licking the top of a beer can.

Smooth creamy medium body.

I wanted this to be better based on the appearance and the smell, but that metal flavor just kills it. You take a sip and think mmm, that's good, oh wait, gross, what the fuck is that??? Reminds me of the metalic flavor you get in your mouth when they inject you before you go into a CT scan.

Ramapo Valley Indian Pale Ale

Purchased at Circle Liquors- Pennington, NJ

no freshness date or abv.
Message on the side says; Please keep cold and enjoy within 120 days.

Appearance- a hazy ruddish brown with a creamt tan head that laces very nice.
Smell- roasted hops with a touch of cherry and vanilla. Sweet malt barely noticable.
Taste- creamy hazelnut/ woody hops. Slight fruitiness in the throat.
Mouthfeel smooth and warming. Slight bitterness and no alcohol detected.

Overall- a pleasent surprise. My first offering from Ramapo Valley Brewery.I'm slighty amazed I'm the first to review this. Worthy of a 6er!
