L: Looks like heavily sugared iced tea. Little to no carbonation. Foam is practically nonexistent. No lacing.
S: Red wine, to a light red wine vinegar. Nothing noticeable past this. Light hint of banana somewhere in there if you are looking hard enough.
T: Sour that is laced with bitterness. Hints of cherries and cranberry tartness. Sits on the palate long after a taste. Nothing terribly pleasant about this beer. I love a good sour... but this is a different animal almost.
F: Less than medium bodied.
O: For what I paid for this 24.5 oz. bomber I would have liked a more balanced beer. However, it is an easy sipper that has me second guessing some of my review with each sip. Maybe this is a beer that has to grow on you. Unfortunately, at the price, there is only so much growing time I have and money for!

First had in July 2016 poured from 25.4-oz. bomber, stamped "BOTTLED ON 02/15/16," into snifter, and had again in Feb. 2021, poured from like bottle, cellared since 2016 purchase, into snifter.
Pours whiskey-amber with 1-finger (less in 2021), fizzy, very light-tan head, which quickly dissipates to nothing, leaving no lace. Nice oak and sour fruit aromas off pour, and then predominantly a mild malty aroma, with a hint of sour fruit and whiskey. Begins with a little carbonation, then sour (rather than tart), which continues, collapsing into some caramel malt, then charred oak for a very odd, unsatisfactory tobacco-like finish.
Difficult to understand what the brewery was trying to achieve with this "American Sour Amber Ale" (part of its Debutante Series). Red wine aged in whiskey barrels? In 2016, I suggested if labeled a Flanders-Style Red Ale, and recommended for cellaring, it might go over better. In 2021, however, I find it still drinks very like it did almost five years ago.

Pours an effervescent & chill-hazed chestnut with rapidly falling tan head. No head retention or lacing
S: Sourness, red wine
T: Follows the nose, much dryness up front. More red wine & tartness/sourness as this warms. Finishes with a touch of cherry juice, red wine & tartness
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, you can feel the enamel trying to come off your teeth...
Drinks easy for what it is, anyone really into sours with a red wine bent will love this

Poured into a tulip glass. Thanks, Biggs.
A: Ice tea brown/orange with very little head or lacing.
S: A bit of the pinot noir and oak with blackberries.
T: Starts off with dry pinot noir characteristics. Right in the middle, a huge punch of blackberries and apples followed by an oaky-ness that smooths it out a bit. Sour, tart.
M: Low to medium with low to medium carbonation. Dry.
O: Folks are raving about this new sour from Lazy Magnolia, but frankly, I'm not impressed. It's too dry, uneven and strong in the wrong spots. Not as balanced as I'd like.
