Impression from a BOTTLE:
Pours your standard white cap over a clear copper body. Obviously filtered.
Aroma is faint, bringing inexpressive floral hop aromatics and pale malt sweetness along with additional (and unwelcome) malt sweetness probably from crystal malt or caramalt. Not at all vivid or inviting.
TASTE: Imbalanced, lacking sufficient hop pungency even for a pale ale and failing to showcase either of its eponymous hops well to any extent (though they only used them for dry-hopping, not for flavour). Malt-emphatic and overly sweet, with shallow depth of flavour and disappointing simplicity.
Some faint soapy off-flavour drags it down...too long in primary, perhaps? Poor water chemistry? Whatever it is, there are fundamental issues here.
TEXTURE: Unrefreshing. A bit dry, a bit coarse, a bit dragging. Medium-bodied. Not oily, juicy, light, or soft. Very mediocre execution.
OVERALL: Woefully inadequate for a beer billed as an IPA. I can't remember ever having a homebrew IPA that wasn't better than this...or a homebrew pale ale that wasn't more hoppy. I don't know that Galaxy hops have ever gone to such waste. Not undrinkable - just forgettable and far below par for the style. Uninspired dull fare from a brewery for which that seems to be the M.O.
High D+ (2.46) / NOT RECOMMENDED

Pours a slightly hazed bronze with 3 fingers of eggshell colored head. Great head retention & lacing
S: Some breadyness, faint citrus
T: Grapefruit pith, a little breadyness, some tangerine up front. Sweet breadyness, more tangerine along with weedyness as this warms, along with a little pineyness & dryness. Finishes dry with a little tangerine & grapefruit , some breadyness too
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, great balance
Drinks great, easily the best of this series, the only one I would reccomend

Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of citrus and tropical fruits. Some orange and pineapple flavors. Just enough malty balance.
