12 oz. bottle, no date, from beer club. Poured into Aslin teku glass.
L: Clear pale gold with visible carbonation bubbles. 2F head with poor retention, leaves just a thin ring.
S: Grassy, bready, a bit floral. More lager than ale, but not bad.
T: Matches nose pretty strongly. Cracker and bread, Floral and grassy. Neutral finish.
F: Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Very easy to drink, dry and refreshing. Not complex and more lager than ale.
O: Certainly a good drink if you're thirsty, but it lacks taste and complexity.

Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company "KMG Gold"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle packaged on 29 June 2018"
Notes via stream of consciousness: There's a lot of information on the label which is interesting. It notes the alcohol content and 12 IBUs, and suggests you drink it "ice cold" "straight from the bottle". Well I'm sorry but I don't drink any beer ice cold from the bottle unless I'm outside in freezing weather and don't have a glass with me. It's poured a slightly hazy golden body beneath a short lived head of bright white foam. The aroma suggests grainy, bready, sweetish malt and floral and lightly herbal, grassy, and spicy hops. The flavor follows delivering a maltiness that's richer than I thought it would be seeing as how it's labeled an "American Premium Ale". There's a very light touch of apple-like fruitiness to it, and I'm finding the hops more floral, and less spicy, herbal, and grassy. I know they're not not using German hops but they've got it going kind of in that vein. It's nicely balanced for being sweetish, and I'm looking at it as a pretty well made blonde ale. It suggests 4 food pairings on the label: pizza, buffalo wings, burgers, and pork belly - and I'd agree with them all as it's a very food friendly beer that's got enough sturdiness to stand up to spiciness, and enough character to it to keep it interesting for more than one or two. OK, to finish up then, it's medium-light in body with a dextrinous edge, and gently crisp. I could get used to this as a regular don't-think-about-it beer for grilling, yard work, sporting events, boating, fishing, and so on. The only place I don't want to drink it is outside in freezing weather without a glass.

Kiln Mississippi Gold has a medium, white head, a somewhat hazy, golden appearance, and a bit of glass lacing. The aroma is of cream cheese cake frosting (the same thing I get with Genesee Cream Ale), some banana cream, and sweet corn. Taste is of vinyl garden hose (not kidding), with sourness and sweet corn, perhaps. The mouthfeel is high medium, and Kiln Mississippi Gold finishes dry and chemical.

Light, bright shade of gold color with white cap and lacing.
Has an aroma of fresh French bread with a mild nose of spicy, floral hops.
Light, crisp, refreshing are some of the descriptors used by the brewer. These are correct and I would add fresh clean tasting as well. There is some corn in the grain bill and I think this brew is better for it. Starts with a fresh bread flavor initially with hops to follow. Brewer lists Nugget and Willamette hops but the BU level is not very high, perhaps 15 but I'm guessing. There is a gentle hop presence from mid palate on but it doesn't raise it's voice above a conversational tone.
Medium texture with mouth filling roundness and balancing carbonation.
At 4.2 ABV it should serve for light beer drinkers who would like a cleaner flavor.

Weekend in Laurel MS.
This beer pours a crystal clear light pale straw yellow with a white head that fades fairly quickly but leaves some side glass lace.
SMELL: Grass, light lemon spritz some bread malts.
Taste: Much of the same.
This beer had the characteristics of a summer seasonal. Light bodied, crisp and a refreshing ale. Easy on the palate and extremely drinkable.
