Mild aroma of grain, with a hint of noble hops. Pours a slightly hazy straw with a quickly fading white head. Light bodied, slightly sweet with some spice and herbal notes in the finish. Light bodied, easy drinking. Not a bad pils.

My wife went down to Cincinnati recently and I put in a request for her to bring back some beer that I had gone a long time without having. She brought back several from Moerlein that I had had before when we lived in the area, but also picked a couple up that I had not had before (this is one of those)
This beer pours a bright white head that is frothy in appearance and dissipates fairly quickly to a very thin lacing. The beer itself is a golden wheat color and slightly hazy (probably chill haze in this case) with light carbonation visible. 3.75/5 The aroma is very malt-centric with lightly toasted cereal grains, biscuit, cracker, and buttered white bread all coming out nicely. This grainy sweetness is balanced by a light grassy hop profile that gives the beer a very fresh and clean aroma. The aroma almost reminds me of Cheerios. 3.75/5 That same lightly toasted cereal grain note kicks things off in the mouth with an earthy sweetness that is balanced by the grassy, slightly bitter hops. There are bits of buttered white bread, biscuit, and cracker that come out as well. The hops play a fairly significant role here in not only balanced but adding a bitter counterpoint to the sweet maltiness of the rest of the beer. A light green apple note lingers on the palate after swallowing, adding a puckering note to the flavor profile. 3.75/5 There is a light carbonation burn on the front end that leads into a light body and moderate drying. This drying does linger on the palate after swallowing. The carbonation does not last long at all. 4/5 This is a well executed German Pilsener that is light, refreshing, and sessionable. Easy to pair with a variety of foods, this is an every day beer. I wish more breweries made lagers like this. 3.75/5

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that died down, leaving some wispy lacing on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose along with some hints of bready malts.
T: The taste follows the smell and has moderate flavors of grassy hops throughout, which also contribute a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a tad shy of being medium-bodied and is clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a good American representation of a German beer style. I liked the aromas and flavors of grassy hops.
