Another older one for me, clearing out the fridge. Poured into a weisen glass. The beer is a golden yellow, somewhat clouded with bubbles, with a solid but fading head. I really smell the fruit on this one. You know, I think I have come to appreciate it more as I have let it sit. I have had this fresh and also less so. Somehow, I appreciate the taste a lot more than when I first tried it. The banana esters are noticeable and play well with the strawberry. It reminds me of bubblegum, so you know the Hefe is well-represented here. It has a certain crispness you would expect from a summery beer. It almost has a little tart biteback in there! Finishes dry, of course.

From the brewer:
Each spring we honor Cincinnati’s historical nickname “Porkopolis,” by brewing a small batch of our favorite cream ale recipe, affectionately named 'Strawberry Pig.' This year they've added a twist with the addition of banana!

Foggy burnt gold with a thin white film.
This has a surprisingly wild yeast component that helps make this almost sour with the tart strawberry, while the Hefe spice and ester characteristics play off the added banana well.
The refreshingly crisp tingly medium body has dry finish.
