Two bottles failed to produce even a hint of almond in the flavor. Honey may have been there, or it may have just been sweet malt flavors - I couldn't tell. Light and rather thin, this beer was pretty limp and uninspiring. Moderately sweet, with a slightly astringent, sharp finish.

Acquired via trade. This brew is an orange/copper color with a thin off-white head. Very little lacing. The aroma is kind of nutty, along with a whiff of malt. Light and crisp with a nice sweet honey flavor, along with malt, caramel and amaretto/hazelnut. The finish swings back to the nutty flavor along with a touch of hops. Overall this beer is a nice easy drink. It may cheat the Lager category with the additions but I only think it makes for a better beer. While not a wonderful experiment, it is better than their Select Lager.

Pours a golden yellow, one finger of head reducing to a film and decent collar. Big honey aroma on the pour, awesome. Bonus points for smell were lost as quickly as the fading of the honey aroma however, and the nose simplifies to a more standard grainy smell.
Taste - Not much of a grain and malt profile, there is something there but it's too hard to pick out. The honey and almond flavors dominate so strongly, I couldn't get past that to identify anything further. The almond tastes good in there (I love almonds), gives the mostly simple beer a bit of depth. Sweet and simple finish, no hops detected.
Mouthfeel is a little heavy with the honey and on the syrupy side, I love honey so I don't mind the heavier than average body.
This beer is a little too sweet for a prolonged session, but I could knock back several easily enough. Not a beer I would seek out, but not one I would turn down if offered.

This beer had a small white head with small-medium sized bubbles that quickly diminished. The body was hazy with very little carbonation observed. The hue of this beer was pale orange. The lacing was good on the sides of my glass. The mouthfeel was smooth and the flavor reminded me of butter.

Hazy copper color that poured with a medium head. Had a decent smell, slight malt with a hint of almond and caramel. Taste is different, I can't quite place it. Malty with a definate almond flavor. I do taste the honey. The flavors mixed together are very odd to me, I don't think I've ever had anything like it. It's not bad, but not good either. Maybe if I had something similar to compare it to, I could make more sense of it. It is drinkable, but not something I will purchase again. It just doesn't appeal to me.

No head what so ever. An off white lace is poured but disapates quicker than stock of Enron, leaving just as much lace. Color is almost exactly the same as Blue Moon. Opaque light yellow brown with a light orange hue. Smell is huge--fragants of sweet honey, mellow almonds, nutmeg, etc. Taste is much the same with a dominance of almonds. Fairly balanced between other flavors--some nutmeg, cloves, a touch of cinammon? Very very sweet taste. Body is light and watery, and carbonation is barely noticeable to null.
This beer deserves more appreciation than what it has gotten. Most BA's are not into the whole fruit/flavored beer thing and with good reason--most attempts are disasters. But, maybe this one just struck a nerve in me but I honestly do not think it is all that bad. It definetly has positive characteristics but all in all it is way too sweet for me to drink more than one or two. Just my two cents.

a deep copper and amber hued beer fills the glass, a fairly large head appears and disappears in a blink of an eye. mild aromas of honey and almond fill the nose. upon tasting, artificial and unpleasant fizzy flavors abound. yeah i can taste the honey and almond, but it drowns out any malt or hop notes and is wholly sickly in character. this is a disaster of a lager...experimental or not. a bad beer. this is about undrinkable as they come.

I went from thinking this beer was Pretty interesting...to bad..back to pretty interesting as I was working my way through the six-pack at different times..
I always say..If you're going to make a flavored beer...make it so you can taste it and smell it...this one does just that.....Huge Almond/Vanilla/Amaretto/Hazelnut nose and flavor....I like it...a bit syrupy though in the mouth and definitely on the thin side but it is a lager so I guess that's OK....
I like this flavor, and would be curious to see this in more of a brown ale style of beer...As it is, I personally think it's worth a taste, but wouldn't buy much of it...I score it high for being bold on the flavor profile....I score it low for being a little too slick.sweet, and artificial (As Big Hugey noted)..
Pours a relatively clear copper/orange...

Slightly chill-hazed amber. Medium sized off-white head. Aroma is hugely of almond, hazelnut, vanilla extract.... Seems artificial though. This beer is huge on the artificial flavoring. Bigtime hazelnut extract or almond extract (if there is such a thing). Very little malt backbone to brace for the flavorings. Pretty thin body. Mouthfeel is watery. Not worth the effort.

Clear darker amber color, the head is reduced to a whitish skim in 30 seconds. A lot of wild honey to the smell, a little almond. Thin at first, some sense of body brought on by a heavy almond flavor. Sweet, and generates more mouthfeel toward the back of the mouth. No sense of balancing bitterness other than an almond skin sense. If there are decent hops in here, they're almost completely masked. This one "ain't" for me...

Color was light gold. Whew - I guess if you like almonds, this is the beer for you ! I found the almond aroma and flavor to be overpowering. I could not smell or taste any other characteristics other than the fact that it was very sweet.
It would be very hard for me to have more than one of these at a sitting.
