You've made a discovery - a German inspired Pale Ale lifted by creativity and crafted for the lofty flight of a Zeppelin. Christian Moerlein Zeppelin Bavarian Pale Ale showcases the characteristics of traditional pales, enhanced by the distinctive flavors and aromas of German noble hops. Pilsner and Munich malts provide a significant backbone balanced by delicate floral and fruity notes from a late kettle hop addition and dry hopping. The result makes this Zeppelin constantly smooth and balanced in flight.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high frothy white head that died down a bit but consistently left a short head covering the surface and thick coatings of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of fruity yeast are present in the nose—blueberries seem to stand out in particular.
T: The taste has flavors of bready malts along with notes of blueberries and hints of limes and floral hops. There is a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. Notes of dryness are present in the finish.
O: This beer is very unusual - when I first saw that it was a Bavarian pale ale I thought it would have aromas and flavors of bananas, but it was completely different and tasted much more like a Fruit/Vegetable beer with all of the blueberry flavors.

Look: cloudy pumpkin-orange
Taste: dried apricots; bitter but not particularly hoppy, at least not for a pale ale
Smell: same dried apricot smell
Feel: liquid
Overall: sort of an odd duck of a pale ale, but in a good way. I haven't had anything quite like it, though my beer knowledge/experience is, on a scale of Muslim to Sam Adams, about a 6.

A: Pours a hazy gold with a thick, creamy white head that recedes slowly, leaving a considerable trail of lace in its wake.
S: Delicate aromas of biscuit, minerals, grass, herbs, lemon, and lime zest are present on the nose.
T: Interesting notes of biscuits, minerals, straw, lemon rind, lime zest, grass, herbs, and bitter orange express themselves on the palate. The finish is clipped, offering a brief fade of tart citrus, grass, and minerals.
M: Light-to-medium in body and surprisingly creamy. This is not really a dry ale, but it is definitely not slick either. A little thinner than expected with airy, active carbonation that is slightly lacking in crispness. Still, this is not hard to drink.
O: I kind of appreciate what the brewers were going for with this ale. American brewers do not generally feature German hop varietals in their pale ales so crafting a pale ale with all German hops is an interesting move on the part of the team at Christian Moerlein Brewing. Still, I would not call this ale a total success. For one thing, it is a little bit lacking in depth and complexity in terms of both aroma and flavor. Secondly, it is a little thin in terms of body and lacking in terms of carbonation. As is, this ale is decent, but not anything to go out of one's way to acquire.

Breadiness and malty sweetness come through in the taste with a hint of candy/bubblegum. Aroma is ok but not notable. This is a nice refreshing beer. (Had it at York St Cafe in Newport KY.)

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass - a little too much foam, but that never hurt anyone. The head is foamy white. It smells like a classic German wheat style, but leans towards a hefeweizen with a nose of bananas and bubble gum. This is a little unexpected.
The tastes follows the nose - it is hefe-like. The malt bill and yeast combine to taste like vanilla wafers, yet I might say it is a little stale.

Poured into a tulip glass as a light, hazy, amber colour with little to no head. White.
Aromas of fresh bread and light citrus fruits.
Fresh bread taste, mild Indian spices and some mild citrus.
Refreshing, dry feel.
Not a bad quaff.
