On tap at 2nd annual organic brew fest. Pours with a rather hazy yellow body, rich white foam.
Aroma has a familiar crisp hop bite and pale malt flavor.
Taste starts with a sharp and bitter hop wash but is quickly replaced by a very ale-like malt profile. The same rough malt flavor kills the pilsner image. Finally, a bitter lemon finish attempts to regain the style.
This pils tastes too much like the other ale offerings and has way to heavy of a malt body for the style. There is no subtlety.
