Presentation: On cask.
Appearance: Dark brown to black in colour with a creamy white head.
Smell: Fresh grapefruit-rind, notes of vanilla. Very aromatic.
Taste: Slick, smooth mouthfeel. Big grapefruit and rind flavours up-front. Beer puckers slightly, then goes dry with charred flavours. Oaky, vanilla and slightly dry astringency at the end.
Notes: Very unique, excellent spin on the Porter style. Truly a brewpub classic. You really can't get enough of this beer.

Very interesting and compelling beer--I couldn't get enough of it.
Smooth vanilla flavor with a strong estery grapefruit character. It wasn't what I expected but I still liked it very much.
