375 ml bottle served cold into a tulip. Purchased at the retail store. Advertised as a dry-hopped Belgian Amber. 52ibu's.
Appearance - I'm calling this a pale ale despite a ruddy dark brown color. Hazy, with a finger of moderate lasting foamy white head. Minimal lacing.
Smell - leafy hops, some funk, candy sugar, yeast and a sweet tropical undercurrent. Lots going on.
Taste- middling bitterness, slightly roasty flavors interspersed with leafy hops. Some yeast but less sugary sweetness than on the nose. Refreshing yet unique flavors.
Mouthfeel - smooth, just heavier than medium bodied and lots of spritzy carbonation.
Overall - higher Dimension is another winner from nickel brook with a slightly different take on a Belgian Amber. The dry hopping is pretty evident here and makes for a flavourful and robust beer. Certainly worth a tipple. While hard to describe what it looks like, it drinks most like a Classic Belgian pale ale, so that's what I've classified it as.
