Formerly known as Mystery Beer C
Wicked Awesome is a juicy IPA that is as tasty as its name suggests. This hazy New England-Style IPA is a generously hopped dank brew that bursts with tropical fruit in the aroma and on the palate. Pouring a beautiful opaque yellow with a fluffy white head, this beer is a true champion. Flavours of tropical fruit and citrus dance pleasantly on your tongue in a harmony, followed by a refreshing and crisp finish. It's obvious why it was the winner of our first ever Mystery Pack contest. Give the people what they want, right? Well, here you go!

Toronto 13/7 2018. 47,3 cl can from The Beer Shop, Torontos very own depressing version of a liquor monopoly where I feel like I am purchasing my beer in a shady backroom during the prohibition. Roaring predator challenging me on the awsomeness and wickedness of this beer.
Pours hazy golden yellow with a modest white head. Foam crawling up the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is strong, citric and juicy. Almost brutal. Light sweet notes of exotic fruit and hints of black currant. Soon overpowered by strong notes of citric grapefruit and citrus. Also notes of sour, smelly socks.
Soft carbonation. Slightly thick, soft texture.
Flavor is lightly sweet. Followed by strong, prominent, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is citric and acidic. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
A fine Fruit bomb from Nickel Brook.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite but now closed The Beer Store on Goyeau St. in nearby downtown Windsor. Canned February 3/25. My tenth beer from the Burlington, Ontario brewery, and third for 2025. With Sundae the cat...

Alright. Citrous orange juice with some orange rind mixed in. Little bit bitter and astringent, like all IPA's. There is an aftertaste of grapefruit. Color is kind of similar to a plain old lager beer, but not quite. Usually these IPA's are either very hazy like orange juice or a little darker in color. I like it. Maybe catch you next time. They offer Ontario Shipping on their website but i got this one from the grocery store.
Buy Canadian, eh? Good stuff, I promise.

Pours a hazy, orange colour. White, fluffy head formation with good retention. Nice lacing. Mango, tangerine on the nose. Melon, orange Peel taste with slight bitterness to round it up. Creamy mouthfeel. Overall a good NEIPA for a great price point.

Very good, a bit thin, a bit quick to disappear from the palette but overall a great IPA, just not to standards of others in class.

Pours a dense yellow, frothy with heavy lacing. Not as much on the nose as expected, hint of general citrus. Upon the tongue …candy. The citrus is there, but this has a candy profile in a good way. Lots of taste here. The hops hold strong and finish sharp. Very good beer.

L: Opaque medium light yellow, minimal head and lacing
S: Inviting tropical fruity smell, prominent peachy stone fruit and mixed citrus notes
T: Bright but balanced flavour, not overly fruity or hoppy. Mild tropical fruity notes, somewhat resiny citrus pith and a hint of toasty malts. Lightly bitter on the finish.
F: Mild prickly carbonation, medium body, rather dry.
O: Enjoyable summer beer. Not as bold or flavorful as expected but well balanced all around good beer.

Pkg: 2020-10-20. Fruity and citrus aroma and sweet. Some hoppiness but overpowered by the sweetness. Medium light bodied, very drinkable.
