On-tap at Volo. An opaque yellowish body with retaining nominal white head. Creamy mouthfeel (isn't everything at Volo) and certainly fresh. A significant but not bold smattering of tabbacco and some smoke, well malted. Drinkable for a refreshing beer though not overally satisfying nor a great representation of the style.

Bottled from Brewery stock.
Poured a deep amber-copper ale in the glass with a tan colored close poured cap that lasted well...decent lacing.
Aroma is sweet and smokey but very subtle.
Up front a rush of Caramel Maris Malts, bready-sweetish but not overly so as to be cloying....bit of smoke and light Fuggles hopping. Creamy mouth feel...finishes malty-sweet with enough bittering to balance in the finish.
Very smooth, drinkable and warming ale...youll never taste the alcohol content. Nice attempt at a wee heavy...all the elements are there but a tad too thin.
