On tap at Victory Cafe. Pours a cloudy orange colour with zero head. No lacing down the glass. Smells of lemon and bubblegum, some muted wheat smell. Flavour is much sweeter than I expected, mild tartness though. Smooth mouthfeel, but the beer is a bit under carbonated. Overall this does taste ok, just not up to the level that I would expect from a craft brewery.

On tap at the Kitchener Craft Beer and Ribs festival.

Poured into my 6oz sampler glass. A light, opaque golden brew, looks like a pale hefe. A thin, but persistant white head.

Nose was mild citrus, lemon, cloves, pepper. Not bad, nothing funky.

Drinks pretty well, actually. Refreshing and to the point - a mild witbier, but with all the usual wit suspects. Finish was sour, but with a bit of chemical funkiness that made for a slightly unpleasant finish.

With some tweaking, this would be a fine summer brew.

Bottle:

The decant puts a murky gold ale in the tumbler with a small sticky white puffy cap...laces the glass well.

Aroma is biscuity with citrus tones and a fennel-coriander type spiciness.

Flavor is toasty-wheaty-biscuity up front with aromatic herbal hopping and light citrus tone, starts drying up mid way and finishes with a dry tartness and a light bittering almost puckering...great stuff!.

Dry, spritzy, spicey, citrusy, refreshing good rendition of the style and the closest flavor profile to Hoegaarten I've tasted from local brewers of the style.

Accidentally found the brewery when I was in Burlington shopping with my girl friend. She was the one that spotted it and mentioned it knowing full well it would entail a u turn...

a-pours a hazy straw colour with very short lived head.

s-typicall coriander yeasty smells one would expect from a wit with a light citrus smell.

t-spicy bite, acidic citrus taste all forcasted in the smell.

m-kinda thin I found for the abv.

d-very drinkable and would be a great wit beer to introduce any macro friends to.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow straw. On the clear side for a wit. Very thin white head that dissipates very quickly.

Aroma is of lemons, coriander, touch of sulphur, light banana esters, and a clean bready yeast.

Tastes of citrus, pepper, cloves, mango and orange juice. It remains crisp and dry finishing with a touch of mint.

The body is highly carbonated, lacks a little body lending it to a soda like beverage. No off palate sensations.

This is a clean, crisp, dry beer. Possibly too clean, but lends the idea of something to sip on a very hot summer day.

A - cloudy yellow in colour with very little carbonation. Slight head that disappeared quickly.

S - Fruitiness (hard to pinpoint a specific fruit)

T - Bitter for a witbier. A citrus aftertaste that stays on the tongue. Overall sort of bland.

M - Carbonation becomes very noticeable.

D - too carbonated and has a bland flavour palate compared to other witbiers. Wouldn't buy this again.

At The C'est What Fall Festival of Beers. A decent brew, if a lacking complexity.

Hazy yellow body with a radiant white head that dropped to a film and put down some good lace. The aroma is very clean, with summery lemon and wheat notes bringing a lightly crisp sourness. Flavour was nicely wheaty, with an echo of citrus in a crisp finish. Reminded me quite a bit of Hoegarden, but without any spice. Refreshing light body with a brisk carbonation that stays the right side of aggressive.

I think this would be a perfect beer for a hot day, and it still tastes good on this fall night. Of course its not really that complex, but its fairly well crafted and a good attempt at the style.

A: Yellow with a slight haze, white head, no retention or lace.

S: Lemon, corriander, slight breadyness.

T: Corriander, lemon grass, cloves, slight bubblegum fruityness.

M: Light to moderate body, dry, greater than moderate carbonation.

D: Decent drinker.

On tap at Victory Cafe. Fairly refreshing, but I don't know if I'd quite call it an American Wheat - more like a Belgian wit, with sourness that likens it almost to a Berliner Weisse style beer. Very pale yellow with a decent-sized head. Served relatively cold. Mild tart, peppery wheat aroma. Flavour is light, with some wheat presence (but not overpowering) and definite tartness (although not really fruity like a green apple or something). Light-bodied, and goes down very easy.

Enjoyed at Victory Cafe on tap. The brewery has been expanding their choices, they can brew. I call this a pale white/wit, rather than a hefe. Light yellow almost beige, with crowning head and carbonation bubbles. Light mouthfeel, a sugared down sourness. Above average carbonation. Wheat aroma. Quaffable.
